Casa Vendicari is situated at the heart of the Boscarino family’s estate, one of Noto’s oldest families. This Sicilian baglio, built using local stone and traditional farming expertise, has for years been a hub of activity: the centre of the family’s farming operations and their summer residence, where they would gather to spend the warmer months between the sea and the countryside.
Every corner of the courtyard tells tales of a bygone era: stories told at sunset beneath the pergola, children running between the pools, long, leisurely lunches in the shade of the olive trees, and visits from friends and distinguished guests in search of beauty and tranquillity.

The conversion of the farmhouse into a boutique hotel was carried out with the utmost respect for its original character. The spaces have been preserved in their essence: the exposed stone walls, the terracotta floors, the high ceilings with wooden beams, and the windows that let in the light. The project aimed to preserve the building’s heritage, not to alter it.

At the heart of the courtyard lies the central courtyard, a large communal space onto which the ground-floor rooms open. In the centre stands the ancient irrigation basin: once used to supply water to the fields, today it is an oasis of refreshment “like a swimming pool” for guests, nestled amongst stone and nature.
Here, you can treat yourself to a refreshing dip during the hottest part of the day, read a book in the sun, or simply let yourself be enveloped by the silence and the light of a Sicilian midday.
